Romantic comedy movies are movies that involve humorous plot lines and are usually centered on romantic ideas. Many times such kind of movies are based on love stories and the main characters who are usually a young man and a young lady. The producers create separate events that take place in the movie but the main story is about two people who are in love. The main characters have it rough in the beginning of such movies and end up overcoming most of the obstacles that were in their way in the beginning of the movie. One can always predict what is going to happen in the end in most of these kind of movies but they are still very fun and somehow inspiring to watch. The romantic comedy movies are a sub-genre of the comedy movies and also the romantic movies. They usually have some scenes that have elements of stoner comedies and screwball comedies. There are also some television series that can also be found on DVD that can also be described as romantic comedy films. Not necessarily all romantic comedy movies have to be single films, they can also be in form of a series.
The plot of a romantic comedy film basically involves a man and a woman meeting and when they start a life together, many obstacles occur and these obstacles are usually created by some of their friends or close family members and they decide to part ways because they think that they can never overcome those obstacles but later, they come to realize that they can easily work everything out and all they needed was to have faith in each other. The screen writers leave several clues that will suggest the characters still have feeling for each other but find it difficult to approach each other because they do not know what the other is thinking.
During the period that they are separated, both of the characters go through a lot of ups and downs that make them realize that they were wrong to break up with each other and that they were in love with each other from the start but because both of them were afraid of being in a relationship, they decided to let each other go. Most of these kind of movies have a high school setting and it happens that all the events in the movie take several years. Most of the people who relate with such kind of movies are teenagers and so the movie producers tend to target the young people when producing such movies. The high school setting tend to touch a lot of the youth and they can be able to relate their everyday lives with the events that take place in the movies. There are usually two main characters in such movies but in the end, its not only them that end up together but other students and even some parents that had differences and had separated. These movies are very funny and fun to watch but behind all the fun and laughter, there is a moral teaching behind the movie’s story line.
